-The headline for a front-page article last month about a talk given on campus by the former president of Israel's Supreme Court and the headline for its continuation misrepresented the jurist's presentation. Because of editing errors, the article also did not properly state the judge's emphasis on the need for a balance between preserving human rights and maintaining national security in democratic societies. Though the jumpline and article implied that he valued security over civil and human rights, his argument centered on balancing the two. (Mar. 27, p. 1)
-An article last month in Arts about a panel discussion on the Jewish roots of the punk rock movement spelled incorrectly the title and author of a book. The book's title is The Heebie-Jeebies at CBGB's, not The Heebie Geebies at CBGB's. The author is Steven Beeber, not Stephen. The article also incorrectly reported a statement Beeber made about the Holocaust. He said it had a particular impact on the 1970s New York punk scene, not that it will affect Jews forever. The article also incorrectly reported who Beeber interviewed for his book. He interviewed Hilly Kristal, not Billy Crystal. (Mar. 13, p. 21)
-A two-page spread last month in Arts about the annual Liquid Latex show omitted a credit. The photos were taken by Jonathan Zimmerman. (Mar. 27, p. 20)
-The headline for a front-page article in February about the formation of committees to provide guidance on inviting potentially controversial speakers to campus incorrectly stated who formed the advisory committees. One was formed by students and faculty, while one was impaneled by Provost Marty Krauss. They were not both student-faculty committees. (Feb. 6, p. 1)
-An announcement last month in Arts incorrectly identified the studio that made the movie The Prince of Egypt. It was DreamWorks, not Disney. (Mar. 27, p. 18)
-The small print last month on page 2 incorrectly stated when the Justice prints. The newspaper publishes every Tuesday, not every Friday. (Mar. 27, p. 2)
