Medical Emergency

Mar. 27-There was a report of a student in the Foster Mods suffering from internal bleeding. BEMCo treated the student, who was taken to the hospital.

Mar. 27-There was a report of a student in the Athletic Complex who had injured her nose. BEMCo treated the student on-scene and took her to the hospital.

Apr. 4-A caller in Epstein reported a female who fell on the railroad tracks and possibly injured her head. University Police treated the student on-scene and called for an ambulance to take her to the hospital.

Apr. 7-There was a report of an intoxicated male who was stumbling in a hallway in North Quad. The student, who was unresponsive but breathing normally, was transported to the Newton-Wellesley hospital by ambulance.

Apr. 10-There was a report of a student in need of transport to the hospital for a psychological evaluation from Mailman. An ambulance took the student to the hospital.

Apr. 12-A caller in Massell Quad reported that his diabetic roommate was having a seizure. The student was transported to the Newton-Wellesley hospital for further care.

Apr. 12-A caller from the Rabb Graduate School suffering from pain after a recent foot operation requested help from BEMCo.

Apr. 12-An individual in Massell Quad reported a female with a sore throat and ears. She was taken to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Apr. 14-There was a report of an intoxicated female in the Foster Mods. University Police and BEMCo responded and treated the student on-scene and took her to the hospital for further care.

Apr. 14-An individual from Ziv Quad reported a swollen eye and requested examination by BEMCo. There was no reported injury.

Apr. 14-A female in Massell Quad, suffering from a swollen eye, was taken to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.



Vandalism

Mar. 28-There was a report of past vandalism to a car parked in East Lot. University Police compiled a report.

Apr. 2-There was a report of two holes in a wall at the Shapiro Campus Center. University Police compiled a report and will review closed-circuit cameras that monitor that area for possible suspects.

Apr. 2-There was a report of vandalism to a card reader at the Village. University Police compiled a report and circuit-camera monitors will be reviewed for possible suspects.

Apr. 9-There was a report of vandalism in the Spingold Theater. University Police compiled a report.



Disturbance

Mar. 30-A group of Boston University students filming and biking around the Abraham Shapiro Academic Center were ordered to disperse by University Police. They complied with the order.

Apr. 13-An individual from the Charles River Apartments reported loud noises coming from somewhere in a building. Residents were asked to quiet down and complied.

Apr. 13-A caller from the Charles River Apartments reported loud music coming from a top floor. Occupants were advised to turn off the music and not play it again at such a loud volume.

Apr. 15-There was a report from Ziv Quad of a noise complaint. University Police were sent to investigate and the occupants complied.



Larceny

Mar. 31-An individual reported a locker break-in in Gosman. University Police compiled a report on the incident.

Apr. 10-There was a report of stolen cash and personal property from a student's room in Massell Quad. At least one person entered the student's room while she was in the bathroom.

Apr. 14-There was a report of past theft of personal belongings from the Gosman Sports Complex.



Traffic

Mar. 28-An individual reported hitting a parked car in the Bernstein Marcus Lot while trying to avoid an animal. University Police compiled a report.

Mar. 30-There was a car accident at the South Street entrance to campus. Two victims received whiplash and were treated and then released by an ambulance that was called. University Police compiled a report.

Apr. 11-There was a report of a two-car accident involving a truck. University Police compiled a report.

Apr. 12-An individual reported that she was involved in a minor accident with an Athletics van.

Apr. 13-An individual reported a past accident in Spingold Lot. The individual tried to blame the vehicle parked next to hers but the damage was different and a past police log reports old damage to the reporting party's car.



Miscellaneous

Mar. 31-There was a report from the Charles River Apartments of the presence of marijuana. Residents refused to open the door when the Community Adviser knocked. Evidence was flushed down the toilet and the quad director on call was notified. Residents of the room will face judiciary charges.

Apr. 13-An individual reported a suspicious male on the road by North Quad. He was described as white, 40 to 50 years old and wearing a brown jacket and a baseball cap. Police reported the party left without incident.

Apr. 14-A caller from Ridgewood reported that he had heard an explosion in Ziv Quad. University Police checked the scene and saw three individuals running toward Admissions. The individuals were identified and university judicial charges may be brought against them.
