Medical Emergency

May 8-A woman in Massell Quad complained she was feeling faint. University Police and BEMCo responded to the call, and BEMCo treated the party on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.

May 8-A professor in the Gerstenzang Science Complex reported that a student in her class was complaining of chest pains. University Police and BEMCo responded, and BEMCo treated the party on the scene with a signed refusal for further care.

May 11-An individual in Massell Quad reported an intoxicated female. University Police and BEMCo responded, and the party was treated on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.

May 12-An individual in the Village Quad reported an intoxicated male outside of a fitness room. University Police and BEMCo responded, and the party was treated on-scene by BEMCo and transported via ambulance to the hospital for further care.

May 12-An individual in Ziv Quad reported that a student cut his leg. BEMCo treated the student on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.


Disturbance

May 10-An individual in the Village Quad reported that a group of four individuals were yelling, playing guitar and throwing things. An officer dispersed the group.

May 10-An individual reported a loud party in the Foster Mods. University Police found the group and the music was turned off.

May 12-An individual in Ridgewood Quad reported loud music coming from outside. University Police ordered the group to leave the area and they complied.


Larceny/Theft

May 8-A projector was stolen from the Hassenfeld Conference Center. University Police compiled a report.

May 11-Waltham Police reported to University Police that a suspect of a store robbery off campus was possibly on University property. The suspect was armed with a knife. Waltham and University police checked the campus and its surrounding areas, but were unable to locate the suspect.


Harassment

May 9-A student in Castle Quad reported receiving harassing e-mails and phone messages. University Police compiled a report and spoke with both parties.


Fire

May 7-A student in the Shapiro Campus Center reported smoldering mulch in the vicinity of the bookstore. The area was extinguished without incident.

May 8-An individual in the Usdan Student Center reported a small mulch fire. The fire was put out with a fire extinguisher.

May 13-University Police found a pile of paper on fire in Ziv Quad. The fire was put out without incident.

May 13-An individual reported a fire at a Ziv Quad dumpster. University Police requested the Waltham Fire department. The fire was extinguished.


Miscellaneous

May 8-A contractor hit a parked black Dodge Lancer in the Tower Lot. Information was left on the windshield and the general contractor was notified. The car owner was also notified. No report was needed, as the damage was minor.

May 10-A woman in Rosenthal Quad reported that an unknown person tried to break into her room. Officers found that the suspect lived on the floor above her. The suspect thought that it was his room and tried to use his key to get in.

May 10-An individual in East Quad reported that someone was throwing water balloons at vehicles. University Police checked the area but were unable to locate one.

May 11-An individual by the fire lane upper road reported three "homeless looking people" searching through a dumpster. University Police advised the individuals to leave and warned them of arrest if they returned.

May 11-An individual in Lown reported receiving a suspicious package. The party to whom the package was addressed had ordered anything. University police compiled a report.

May 12-An individual reported motor vehicle vandalism in the athletic staff lot. University Police compiled a report.
