Medical Emergency
June 9-A-46-year old female was reported having a seizure in the Shapiro Campus Center. University police assisted in transporting the party to hospital via ambulance for further care.
June 19-A student caller reported that he cut his finger with a kitchen knife in the Foster Mods. The student was transported to the hospital.
July 16-A-20-year old female student fainted and hit her head in the Science Complex. University Police and ambulance staff treated her on scene, with a signed refusal for further care.
Disturbance
June 15-A head custodian requested that University Police respond to a situation in the Usdan Student Center. One of his custodians had an altercation with one of the mailroom staff and was very upset. The victim didn't speak English, and the suspect was recently hired. The suspect allegedly stuck his finger in the face of the custodian. University Police compiled a report; investigation and sanctions were to follow.
Larceny/Theft
June 12-An individual reported that the screen in his window was damaged and forced open in his Foster Mod apartment. Twenty-four DVDs were reported stolen. The window had no lock and couldn't be secured. University Police filed a report, and facilities employees were advised to repair the lock.
Traffic
June 1-University Police reported an off-campus three-car accident involving a school bus. The Waltham Police were notified.
Harassment
July 23-It was reported that an individual in the Administration Complex received a harassment letter in Chinese.
Fire
May 26-A male individual reported seeing smoke in the Sachar area. The area was checked due to the heavy smell of smoke. Officers confirmed the report of a large brush fire, and notified the Waltham Fire Department who extinguished the fire without incident.
Miscellaneous
May 26-A male individual hiding in bushes was reported by a female individual in Tower Lot. She felt as though he was stalking her. He was white and wore jeans and was of an unknown age. University Police checked the area, but were unable to locate him.
