Medical Emergency

Sept. 24-A caller in the Shapiro Campus Center reported an individual having chest pains. An ambulance transported the patient to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Sept. 25-A female in Gosman fell on a treadmill and cut her chin. BEMCo transported her to urgent care facilities.

Sept. 27-A caller in North Quad reported an individual with a headache and sinus pain. The patient was transported by BEMCo to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Sept. 27-An individual in Massell Quad reported that a student injured her ankle playing soccer. She was treated on-scene by BEMCo with a signed refusal for further care.

Sept. 28-The Mailman Psychological Counseling Center requested University Police and an ambulance. A student was brought to Mt. Auburn Hospital.

Sept. 29-A party in Massell Quad reported a vomiting female. University Police and BEMCo responded, and she was treated by BEMCo and transported to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital by ambulance.

Sept. 29-University Police received a call about two students who had a fake fight by Rosenstiel and one of the students was unconscious. The individual was alert upon arrival of University Police and was treated on-scene by BEMCo with a signed refusal for further care.

Sept. 30-An individual on Charles River Road reported that he had flulike symptoms and a fever. BEMCo treated him on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.



Fire

Sept. 24-A caller in Rabb reported that there was smoke in his office. The apparent cause was a faulty motor in a heating unit that caused a small fire. The problem was rectified, and there were no reported injuries.



Miscellaneous

Sept. 24-There was a report of loud screams in the vicinity of the faculty center. A unit was dispatched to investigate.

Sept. 27-A caller in Rosenthal Quad reported a vehicle pulling out of the quad at a high speed. Individuals in the vehicle were yelling and swearing at the reporting party. Police checked the area and found nothing.
