Medical Emergency
Oct. 11-A caller reported a female student in Goldfarb Library suffering from an allergic reaction. The student was reported to be conscious and talkative, but having difficulty breathing. BEMCo requested an ambulance to the site. The student was transported to the Newton-Wellesley hospital by ambulance.
Oct. 13-A party called because his friend at the main entrance was having chest pains. The student was driving on South Street and pulled onto campus, and requested BEMCo. The student was transported to the Newton-Wellesley hospital by ambulance.
Oct. 13-A female in Usdan Student Center felt dizzy and nauseous. BEMCo treated the patient on-scene and transported her to the hospital.
Oct. 13-A caller in Massell Quad requested BEMCo for a dehydrated student who was feeling nauseous. BEMCo transported the student to the hospital.
Oct. 13-A male in the athletic complex thought he had too much to drink, and a witness saw him fall down. The patient had a possible neck injury and requested BEMCo. An ambulance transported the patient to the hospital.
Oct. 14-A party in Massell Quad requested BEMCo for an intoxicated, incoherent female. The individual was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
Oct. 14-A caller in the Village requested police presence, stating that there was a male party sitting in the kitchen with a knife in his hand. He had self-inflicted cuts. The quad director and a doctor were notified, and the student was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Oct. 14-A party in East Quad requested BEMCo for an intoxicated female. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Miscellaneous
Oct. 9-A student was granted a restraining order against another Brandeis student. The defendant was served without incident. The case will be heard in the Waltham District Court.
Oct. 10-University Police in Charles River smelled marijuana in an apartment. Drug paraphernalia and marijuana were confiscated, and a judicial referral was composed.
Oct. 13-A party in Hassenfeld Lot reported a group of males yelling and swearing at a female. Officers checked the area by foot and cruiser, and all appeared quiet and orderly.
Traffic Accident
Oct. 10-There was a minor fender bender on Loop Road in front of Slosberg. No injuries were reported and the parties exchanged papers. A report was composed.
Oct. 11-A staff member reported that someone had hit his vehicle sometime during the day while it was parked on Loop Road. A report was composed to document the hit and run.
Larceny
Oct. 13-A couple at the Athletics complex left their car unlocked while they played tennis. When they returned the driver's side door was found ajar, and a purse was missing from the vehicle.
Oct. 14-Two parties went to Stoneman to fill out incident reports claiming that their wallets were stolen while left unattended in Usdan Student Center.
