To the Editor:
Let me first say that I am disappointed with the recent article on Transitional Year Program Student Mamoon Darwish, ("Student appeals after being banned from campus," March 11 issue). I do not wish to get into the details of this incident, but I do implore you to get your facts straight in the future. The Justice has left Brandeis with the impression that there was some sort of "injustice" done to this kid when in fact there wasn't. Darwish is obviously a troubled person because he sought someone out and jumped him in broad daylight; any other accounts of the incident other then that are simply untrue. There was no "fight," but an act of violence against an upstanding member of the Brandeis community. I am asking that you get the facts straight and come out with a reprint of this article, clearing up any facts that you may have missed.

Sounds like another case where some kids in the Brandeis community start complaining about something and everyone gets on board without having any idea what's actually going on. (Continued…)
