n The Senate Log said that the Student Bill of Rights did not pass in referendum. The Bill actually did not receive enough votes to qualify for a referendum.
n An article in News incorrectly stated that Mamoon Darwish was suspended until May 2009. He was in fact suspended until May 2008. (Apr. 15, p. 6)
n An article in News incorrectly stated that the Palestinian art exhbition was removed from the Rose Art Museum. It was in fact removed from the Library. (Apr. 15, p. 6)
n An article in Features incorrectly stated that "Mical Natoniewski '01 spent her four years at Brandeis studying psychology and anthropology in the hopes of learning about education in other countries." She did not study with the goal of learning about education in other countries.
The article quotes Natoniewski as saying that she did not appreciate the differences between Paraguayan and American cultures until she worked as an early elementary education volunteer for the Peace Corps. Natoniewski said this is not true.
The article said Natoniewski served in the Peace Corps immediately after graduation but she actually joined the Peace Corps four years after graduating from college.
The article said Natoniewski served six years in the Peace Corps, during which she volunteered at different sites in Paraguay. This statement is not true.
Natoniewski said the article was incorrect in saying she said she was weather dependent. She also amended the same quote by saying that one advantage of the site was that the house was located at the end of the asphalt, as opposed to on a dirt road, so that she could travel to and from her site.
Natoniewski said that the article was incorrect in saying that the strong ties she formed with her host family helped her acclimate to a new environment.
Natoniewski said the article quoted her as saying that the intimacy she felt among her friends in Paraguay was one of the most memorable aspects of her experience in the Peace Corps, but this statement was paraphrased.
The article says, "One of my favorite things to do there was to swim in a great creek located near the site I was located on the extraordinarily hot days, but one of the best things was sitting around, with friends talking and drinking ice-cold terere' (a communal tea drink), she said." This information is paraphrased, not a direct quote. (Apr. 15, p. 7)
