Medical Emergency
Sept. 2-A caller in Massell Quad requested to be examined by BEMCo to see if the party was suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning. The Physical Plant Dept. reported that it was only steam from a dryer steam leak. The party was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Sept. 2-A caller in Spingold Theater reported that a custodian fell from a staging area and was complaining of shoulder and back pain. The custodian was transported by ambulance to Beth Israel Hospital.
Sept. 4-BEMCo received a call that a student in North Quad was having difficulty breathing. BEMCo and University Police responded and transported the student to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Sept. 5-A caller in Massell Quad reported that a student was experiencing an asthma attack. BEMCo and University Police responded and treated the student on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.
Sept. 6-A student in Massell Quad reported that he may have been having an allergic reaction. BEMCo and University Police responded and transported him to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Sept. 6-A student in Massell Quad reported that a female student was vomiting and dehydrated. BEMCo responded and transported her to Newton-Wellesley Hospital via ambulance.
Sept. 7-A Community Development Coordinator in Massell Quad reported that a female student was having a panic attack. BEMCo and University Police responded and treated her on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.
Miscellaneous
Sept. 3-A caller on Charles River Road reported hearing loud screaming, possibly a female voice, coming from the University Office parking garage. University Police responded and checked the garage but found nothing. Upon returning to the garage area, a couple pulled into the garage in a vehicle. Both parties were interviewed separately.
Sept. 5-A caller in the Abraham Shapiro Academic Complex reported a suspicious package by the elevator bank. The package was a typewriter and was claimed by another employee.
Traffic
Sept. 6-Automobile damage to a parked car in Chapels Lot was reported. The damage was caused by a past hit-and-run. University Police compiled a report.
Larceny
Sept. 3-A caller in Village A reported that his green basket and clothing, with a value of $65, as well as a cordless drill, were stolen from a University-owned van. University Police will start an investigation. University Police compiled a report.
Sept. 4-An employee in Bernstein-Marcus reported a past theft of four chairs from the admissions office. University Police compiled a report and will start an investigation.
Vandalism
Sept. 7-A caller in the Foster Mods reported that he saw a man damage a tree and then drive off in a car with a New Jersey license plate. A residence check was run on the suspect, but no on-campus address was found. University Police were unable to identify any camera footage because of the weather conditions, but they will start an investigation. University Police compiled a report.
