Medical Emergency


Sept. 24-A party in the Shapiro Campus Center reported having possible cardiac or chest pains. BEMCo and the Waltham Fire Department responded. The party was transported via ambulance to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Sept. 24-A caller reported that a senior citizen had fallen in Gosman Sports and Convocation Center and sustained a head injury. The party was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Sept. 30-A party in North Quad reported that he felt pain all over his body. The BEMCo supervisor and University Police responded to the scene. The student was transported via ambulance to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Oct. 1-A female student in Massell Quad felt dizzy and had a rapid heart rate. BEMCo and University Police responded and suspected that the student had possibly used a Class D substance. She was transported via ambulance to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Oct. 1-A party reported that a male on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle on South Street. The driver stopped and spoke with him. He did not get the registration number of the vehicle that hit him. He declined medical attention and police action.

Larceny


Sept. 22-A party reported that his running shoes costing $89 to $100 and custom-made orthotics costing $300 were stolen from a bench in the locker room. University Police compiled a report.

Sept. 22-A party stated that her stamps were stolen from her desk. She found the stamp storage box in the trash, but all the stamps, which were valued at $277, were gone. University Police compiled a report.

Sept. 24-A student reported that his computer, iPod and quarters were missing from his unlocked room in Ziv Quad. University Police compiled a report.

Disturbance


Sept. 24-The Village Community Development Coordinator reported an alleged marijuana violation in a Village room. When police officers arrived on-scene, the parties were not there.

Oct. 3-Police dispersed numerous crowds of people going into the woods by Sachar International Center.

Miscellaneous


Sept. 26-A call was received about a suspicious white male with graying hair, smelling strongly of marijuana , wandering the hallways of a dorm in Massell. University Police checked the building and the quad area but were not able to locate the suspect.

Sept. 26-The University police chief responded to the Bernstein-Marcus offices for a suspicious package. The package, containing CDs, was retrieved and delivered to the LTS department. It will be reviewed by patrol division, and a report will be filed.

Sept. 29-A party stated that about five to six people were on the roof of the Spingold Theater throwing a Frisbee down onto a vehicle. University Police checked the area on arrival and all was clear.

Oct. 2-University Police were notified of racial harassment to a Brandeis employee in Shapiro Campus Center that included vandalism to a University-owned vehicle.

Oct. 5-A party informed University Police of a suspicious person taking photos through the windows of the Science Complex by Gerstenzang. University Police responded to the area. The person was gone upon arrival.
