Medical Emergency
Oct. 20-A female student fell and hit her head in Usdan Student Center. BEMCo responded. She was transported to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital by ambulance.
Oct. 21-A party reported that a 21-year-old male at Gosman Sports and Convocation Center might have broken his left hand. BEMCo responded and transported him to urgent care facilities.
Oct. 21-An intoxicated male student was vomiting in the bathroom in Usdan Student Center. BEMCo responded, and the student was transported via ambulance to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Oct. 22-A male student in the Foster Mods had serious stomach pain. BEMCo and University Police responded and transported him to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Oct. 22-A swimmer had a seizure in the Linsey Pool in Gosman Sports and Convocation Center. BEMCo and University Police responded. The student was transported via ambulance to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Oct. 25-A male student in Massell Quad reported a laceration on his head. University Police and BEMCo responded and treated him on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.
Oct. 25-A party reported that a female at Gosman Sports and Convocation Center twisted and injured her knee, but she refused medical attention.
Oct. 26-A female in Ziv Quad was vomiting and unresponsive. BEMCo and University Police responded. She was transported via ambulance to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Traffic
Oct. 22-A party reported that a bus crashed into a vehicle on Loop Road and caused minor damage. The party left a note on the vehicle and notified the Crystal Transportation dispatcher. University Police were advised to stop the bus for further information.
Oct. 23-A party reported that a Crystal shuttle bus drove off Charles River Road into the woods on Angleside Road. The party reported that the driver was not injured. University Police responded to the scene, and the Waltham Police Department, the Waltham Fire Department and an ambulance were notified of the situation. The bus was towed by the Waltham Towing Company. A report was compiled.
Oct. 24-An escort van was involved in an accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
Oct. 26-University Police responded to a report of alcohol and drug paraphernalia. The contraband was confiscated, and judicial charges will be filed.
Miscellaneous
Oct. 20-A party reported that a suspicious male was looking into the windows by the dining area of Usdan Student Center. University Police responded to the scene. The suspicious male was looking for his friend who works for food services.
Oct. 22-A party reported noticing an unidentified FedEx package unattended on a chair next to the information booth by the main campus entrance. University Police responded to the scene. The package was intended for someone on campus.
Oct. 25-A female in Admissions Lot caught the attention of a University Police officer as he was driving by. She reported that a male had followed her home from a local bar. The male suspect was issued a verbal trespass warning and was escorted from campus.
