The women's soccer team has experienced several injuries over the last two weeks and was forced to play without some of its starters against Emory University and Carnegie Mellon University last weekend.

Goalie Hillary Rosenzweig '10 suffered a knee injury Oct. 27 in a game against Roger Williams University. Rosenzweig wrote in an e-mail last Monday that she is waiting to be cleared by the doctor, and there is a "good chance" she will be able to play against New York University on Saturday.

Backup goalie Jaclyn Weinstein '12 started last Sunday, but she collided with a Tartan player while trying to save a ball and suffered a concussion and a chipped tooth. Weinstein said last Sunday that she does not think her injuries are serious and said she may be able to play Saturday if Rosenzweig cannot.

Defender Allison Maresca '12 collided head-first with an Emory player last Friday while both were jumping up for the ball. Maresca said last Sunday that she did not have a concussion but needed stitches in her head and will get them out Friday or Sunday. Either way, she said that she does not think she will play against NYU.

Forward Melissa Gorenkoff '10 injured her right ankle against Emory. She wrote in an e-mail last Sunday that the injury is just a sprain and that she hopes to return against NYU.
