Medical Emergency
Oct. 27-A female party at the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center fell, struck her head and fainted. BEMCo and the Waltham Fire Department responded. The party was treated on-scene and transported by ambulance to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Oct. 28-University Police received a call from the State Police in Framingham, Mass. reporting that it had received a call from a student on campus claiming that her roommate was having trouble breathing. State Police also notified the Waltham Police Department. BEMCo and the Waltham Fire Department responded and the party was transported to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.
Oct. 28-Staff of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute program at the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center requested BEMCo for an elderly female who had suffered a fall. The party was conscious and not in any pain. BEMCo was dispatched to evaluate the party. The party was treated on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.
Oct. 28-University Police received a report of a party in the Usdan Student Center who had a lacerated finger. BEMCo treated the party on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.
Oct. 28-University Police and BEMCo responded to a report of a student in the Foster Mods who was having trouble breathing. The party was transported to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.
Oct. 30-University Police received a call that an intoxicated male party was sick in the men's restroom in Upper Sherman. University Police and BEMCo responded. The party was treated on-scene and transported to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Nov. 1-A party in Ziv Quad reported an intoxicated female in Ziv 127. When University Police and BEMCo responded the female was in the lobby of Ziv 127. The party was treated on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.
Larceny
Nov. 1-A party in Rosenthal Quad stated that she came out of the bathroom and noticed two men in her room. The party then noticed that her laptop was missing after the two men departed. University Police responded and searched the area for parties matching the descriptions given but didn't find anyone in the area. University Police took a written statement from the party and will compile a report.
Disturbance
Oct. 31-A party on Charles River Road called University Police complaining of loud noise. University Police responded and dispersed a small group outside the area.
Miscellaneous
Oct. 27-The Waltham Police Department requested the assistance of University Police in locating a suspected shoplifter within the University community.
Oct. 30-University Police stopped a man with a replica plastic firearm on the Squire Bridge. The party was identified as a current student. The item was confiscated and no further action was taken by University Police.
Oct. 30-Staff at the Brandeis-Roberts train station reported seeing a male party exit the train carrying a sword in his backpack and heading towards the University. University Police were dispatched to investigate but were unable to locate the party.
